Using Batch Capture

Before you batch-capture, check the scratch disk, available disk space, capture settings, device-control settings, and deck, if necessary. (These topics are covered earlier in this chapter.) If everything is set properly, you need to attend to the batch capture only when you are required to change source tapes.

To batch-capture clips:

1.
Open a project and select a bin to store the captured clips. If you don’t specify a bin in a project, Premiere will prompt you to create an external bin on the hard drive.
2.
Open a batch list (Figure 16.55), and if necessary, click to the left of any clip in the list to change its icon, and thereby its capture status:
