Capturing with Device Control

Device control allows you to control a camera or deck from within Premiere (Figure 16.34). More important, device control can also help Premiere read timecode from source tapes so that matching timecode information can be encoded into the captured clips. Later sections in this chapter explain how to use device control to log shots from timecoded tapes to create a batch list and to batch-capture the shots on the list.
