Viewing Options in the Motion Path

Ordinarily, the motion path resembles a connect-the-dots representation of the motion setting. However, you can display additional information in the motion path to better analyze and adjust the clip’s motion.

As well as dots that represent the positions of the keyframes, you can display a framed outline that shows the size and orientation of the image.

In addition to a simple line that represents the direction of motion, you can display a dotted path, which indicates the speed. Wider spacing between dots indicates faster speed between keyframes; tighter spacing represents slower speed.

To display frame outlines at keyframes in the motion path:

  • Check Show Outlines.
