Keying

In addition to fading the entire image, you can key out particular areas of an image, making them transparent. You can apply and adjust a key effect (or simply, key) in the Transparency Settings dialog box (Figure 13.12).

You can key out parts of an image based on luminance, chrominance, an alpha channel, or a separate matte image.
