Viewing the Video in the Background
Because most titles are keyed over video (see Chapter 13, “Superimposing Clips”), the background of a title is transparent. In the drawing area, a checkerboard pattern represents the transparent areas. However, you can fill the background with a representative frame of video from the program so you can adjust the colors and elements of the title to match.
The background frame isn’t saved as part of the title; it’s merely a helpful reference.
To toggle background video:
In the Title Designer window, check Show Video to display a frame of the program as the background of the drawing area (Figure 12.13).
