Copying and Pasting Effects

If you spend a lot of time tweaking an effect, you might flinch at the prospect of doing it all over again for another clip or, worse, a lot of clips. Fortunately, you can duplicate even a complex effect by copying it from one clip and pasting it to another. The Paste Attributes command works not only for effects, but also for any combination of fade controls, transparency settings, and motion settings.

To copy effects from one clip to another:

In the timeline, select a clip containing the effects you want to copy (Figure 11.54).
