Creating Cross-Fades
A cross-fade occurs when one audio clip fades out (grows silent) while another audio clip fades in (becomes audible). You can manipulate fade handles manually to create a cross-fade, or you can use Premiere’s cross-fade tool to create simple cross-fades quickly. Incidentally, this technique also works with the video fade line.
To use the cross-fade tool:
1. | Overlap two audio clips in time, and display the red fade line (Figure 10.29).
