Fading

The fade control gives you precise control of the audio levels, enabling you to adjust levels in increments as small as 1 percent. Starting with Premiere 6, you can also view your adjustments in terms of decibels (dB), not just percentages.

To create and use a fade handle:

1.
Position the pointer on the red fade line where you want to create a fade handle. The pointer changes to a white finger icon with a red ± to indicate that you are about to add a fade handle (Figure 10.16).
