Projects and Preview Files

When you save your project, any preview files that you created are associated with the project. When you open the project again, Premiere attempts to locate the preview files. If the preview files are present, you can still view the previewed portions of your program. If the preview files have been deleted or moved from your drive since you saved the project, Premiere will be unable to locate them. In this case, Premiere prompts you the same way it does when source files are missing (see Chapter 2, “Starting a Project”). You must either confirm that the preview files are in a new location or eliminate references to the files. In either case, you can still open the project.
