Fixing Transitions

Adding a transition to a cut in a single track presumes that there’s enough hidden footage to create the transition. If there’s not enough footage, Premiere prompts you to change the transition’s duration or position. Premiere can also create extra frames by repeating existing frames, though this option may look strange.

To fix a transition:

Add a transition between clips in a single-track layout (Figure 8.44).
