Creating Special Transitions

Most transitions included with Premiere operate along the same lines and use similar settings. A few transitions, however, work a little differently from the rest. Because these transitions can’t all be covered in the limited scope of this book, the following list describes the ones to which you should give special attention:

Channel map— to manipulate the red, green, blue, and alpha channels of the image.

Luminance map— to manipulate the luminance values of the image.

Displace— to shift pixels in an image based on the luminance values of a clip or other image.
