Using a Default Transition

If you use a transition frequently, you can set it as the default transition to apply it quickly, without going to the Transitions palette. The default transition also defines the initial duration of all transitions added in the single-track workspace.

To specify the default transition and duration:

In the Transitions palette, choose the transition that you want to set as the default.

From the Transitions palette’s pull-down menu, choose Set Selected as Default (Figure 8.50).
