Expanding and Collapsing Tracks

You can expand and collapse tracks in the timeline, using the same rotating triangle you’re familiar with from other programs or even from the Macintosh system interface. Expanding a track reveals additional information and controls for the clips in the track. When you don’t need these features, collapse the track to reduce screen clutter and decrease the time it takes to redraw the windows.

Expanding an audio track reveals fade and pan controls, as well as an audio waveform. (See Chapter 10 for more information about these features.)
