Monitoring Tracks
When used as a noun, the term monitor can refer to a video screen or audio speaker. It is also used as a verb, meaning to see or hear, as in “to monitor the video and audio.” In Premiere, you can monitor any combination of the tracks in the timeline. Only monitored tracks are included during playback and when you preview or export the program. Though you usually monitor all the tracks, at times you may want to monitor only certain tracks. You may want to hear the dialog track without the music and effects tracks, for example.
