Selecting Clips in the Timeline
Not surprisingly, whenever you want to manipulate or affect a program clip in any way, you have to select it first.
To select clips in the timeline:
Click a clip in the timeline.
When a clip is selected, its border has an animated highlight (sometimes described as “crawling ants”) (Figure 6.39).

When synch mode is set to linked, clicking a linked clip selects both the video and audio tracks. See “Using Linked Clips” later in this chapter.
To select multiple clips in the timeline by clicking:
