Ganging the Source and Program Views

In some circumstances, you need to preview the relationship between a source clip and the program visually. You may want to preview which frames will be replaced by an overlay edit, for example, before you actually perform the edit.

For these situations, you could calculate durations, or you could simply gang the source and program views. Ganging the source and program views synchronizes them, so that playing one plays the other. This way, you can see how the frames of the source view correspond to the program view to help you decide where to set editing marks.
