Starting a New Project

You can start a new project either when you launch Premiere or after Premiere is running. You can have only one project open at a time, however.

Unless you delete the Preferences file, you have to set the initial workspace only when you launch Premiere for the first time. Thereafter, the window that appears when you open Premiere depends on the preference you set. By default, Premiere opens a dialog box for you to choose audio and video settings. But you can set Premiere to start with an Open dialog box or a new project, or simply to start without initiating anything.
