Locating Missing and Offline Files
As you learned at the beginning of this chapter, a project is simply a set of instructions that refer to files on a drive. When you open a project, Premiere looks for the files to which the project refers. If the source files have been moved, deleted, or renamed since the project was last saved, Premiere may have trouble finding them. Premiere attempts to locate the missing clips and prompts you to confirm its choice. (Premiere also attempts to find missing preview files; see Chapter 9, “Previewing Transitions and Effects.”)
