HUMAN HEALTH CANNOT be defined narrowly. We have made that point by emphasizing health as existing in the space where biology, environment, and behavior overlap, but we may have underplayed the role of environment. The bioworld is interconnected and interdependent enough that human health must be defined in a very large context, well beyond the boundaries of our homes and jobs.
