About the Authors

Dr. Anasse Bari holds a Ph.D. in computer science, with a focus on data mining, from the George Washington University. Dr. Bari is a Fulbright Scholar and is currently professor of computer science at the School of Engineering and Applied Science of the George Washington University.

Anasse has over eight years’ of experience in large-scale software architecture and in designing and implementing software systems under different platforms for both the public and private sectors. Anasse has been recently worked at the World Bank Group Headquarters at the Poverty Reduction Group, and then at the Information Management and Technology division where he was involved in a data analytics project. He was the recipient of the World Bank Spot award for his extraordinary efforts in service of the organization. While at the World Bank, he attended an executive program at Stanford University d.school — the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

His research has been focused on predictive analytics, data mining, biologically inspired knowledge discovery, and information retrieval. He is the author of several research publications published at peer-reviewed IEEE venues on data mining with practical applications in social network analytics, bioinformatics and text mining.

Anasse lives in Georgetown, Washington DC.
