SUMMARY

In this chapter, we have described the Four Cs of team performance and the basic elements of a team-building program. These elements include describing the purposes of the team-building program and addressing any concerns or fears of team members. Common steps in team building are as follows:
• Data regarding the performance of the team is generated by examining archival data, observing the team perform a particular task, interviewing team members, or surveying members of the team. A variety of alternatives are available to generate such data.
