A NEW ROLE FOR OD CONSULTANTS

I have mentioned these three subcultures because they redefine the job of the organizational therapist and OD consultants in a fundamental way. Instead of helping the operators and trying to get the engineers and the executives to pay more attention to the human factors, which is typically what we do, why not help the engineers to be better designers and help the CEOs be better money managers? Instead of pitting the operator culture against the other two, which our value premises often lead us to do, why not define our job as getting these three cultures to communicate with each other so that everyone recognizes that all three are needed and must be aligned with each other?
