SUMMARY

We have reviewed several overarching trends driving the nature of the future workplace. These trends have significant impact on the traditional practice of OD within organizations. OD practitioners must be prepared to design interventions appropriate to virtual workplaces. We have also laid out a range of technologies used by today’s enterprises, and we recommend that OD practitioners familiarize themselves with the technologies used by their clients before designing change interventions. Finally, we have introduced a range of software that OD practitioners can use to enhance their productivity and skills.
