1. Build enduring, trusting relationships with senior people. You have the ability to work directly with senior executives and not go through chains of command. Make the most of that. Learn to talk as a business person, become strategic in your thinking, and become comfortable in the presence of these people. Suggestion: Take business etiquette lessons so that you dress properly on all occasions and know what fork to use at dinner. You need to be seen as a peer.
