Summary

This chapter introduced the UX mindset, one of the most important concepts you will learn as a UX designer and practitioner and one we will refer back to again and again. We also talked about the myth that listening to our customers/users derails good design and dispelled it using many examples. UX is more than a set of tools, skills, tips and tricks. If we want to be better UX designers and more practical in our approach we first have to acquire the mindset to make it so. UX is a way of viewing the world around you and using it to solve even the most complex and challenging problems, something we will see in later chapters.
