Preparing Your Project for Distribution

Before you distribute an application, there are a number of steps you should perform to ensure that your program is ready for prime time. Unfortunately, software development schedules are often tight and release dates usually slip, and as you reach the end of a development cycle, you might feel a very heavy push just to get the program out the door. As a result, many of the necessary preparations might get ignored or glossed over. Directives 16.1 through 16.10 are a list of steps you should complete before creating a distributable build of your program. Although this list is not all-inclusive, performing these tasks will undoubtedly result in a more robust application and a better user experience.
