If you install the Adaptive Server Anywhere software on your personal computer, you won't need to ask for permission or create a database: bookbiz is already installed. However, you may prefer to use the RDBMS most favored at the office so that you can become familiar with it. In this case, you'll need to negotiate with the responsible parties.
