Changing and Deleting Databases and Objects

By now you've noticed a pattern: You build database objects with a CREATE command of some sort. Most systems have corresponding DROP commands to remove database objects. (Strangely enough, not until its 1988 draft did the ANSI standard include such a command.) ALTER commands are also common for changing objects.
