CREATE Statements for the bookbiz Database

The CREATE and INSERT statements for creating the bookbiz database are provided for your reference in re-creating this database on your system. There are four versions of the CREATE script (to cover datatype differences):

  • Adaptive Server Anywhere

  • Transact-SQL (Adaptive Server Enterprise and SQL Server)

  • Oracle

  • Informix

If you're using the Adaptive Server Anywhere software on the CD, you don't need to run the CREATE or INSERT scripts. The bookbiz database is already set up and loaded. Just follow the directions in the CD readPSH4 file. However, in case you want to create similar tables or reload data, the ASA files are available.
