Datatype Comparison

The datatype comparison chart (Figure B.2) shows datatype names used in the bookbiz database by vendor. Where a particular datatype is used for compatibility with one offered by another vendor, it is in italics. Some names have long and short versions (DECIMAL and DEC): They are noted here with mixed case (DECimal). However, precision and scale for numeric datatypes are not included. Don't assume the same name means identical characteristics; check your documentation for details.
