Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) is a secure technology based on digitally signed DNS records to help determine data authenticity. DNSSEC creates a secure domain name system by adding cryptographic signatures to existing DNS records. The main goal for DNSSEC is to strengthen trust in the internet by helping to protect users from being redirected to fraudulent websites and unintended addresses.
