Using the ncftp Command

The ncftp command is similar to the ftp command, but has additional features, including the following:

  • Three visual (screen) modes

  • 15 command-line options

  • A command line separate from a main scrolling window

  • A status line showing download progress with elapsed and remaining time to completion

  • An editor for bookmarks (abbreviated hostnames of remote computers)
