Abstract

Biopharmaceutical executives may come to realize themselves as having leadership qualities through their managerial roles in their organizations or through their personal roles in life. The leadership self-concept may have an internal locus where the executive’s personal identity, mission, or values and ideals guide the executive in using his managerial role to fulfill these leadership aspirations.
