Digital wireframes

Digital mockups often take shape of wireframes—designs that use geometric shapes, flat colors, and simple icons instead of game art.

However, some designers opt to validate the artistic direction of the interface at this stage. To do so, a digital wireframe can be imbued with effects, fonts, and art found on the internet, allowing the designer to swiftly assemble a good approximation of the look and feel.
