Design polish

Design polish includes a huge variety of activities. Every aspect of the game over which the game designer has direct control can be tweaked and polished. Most likely, we're talking about balancing, especially difficult.

Once the designer finally has the chance to play the game in its entirety, it is possible to go fine-tune values that might have been pre-determined only by data and numeric models. We have seen in the chapter about balancing how a game system is also made of numbers. This is the time to put them to test and tweak them to perfection.
