Teaching outside gameplay

A lot of detailed and nuanced information can be exposed outside of the main gameplay experience. However, while these techniques are great at covering specialist knowledge or diving deep into the stats and non-crucial mechanics, they should be used as a secondary source of information—something that cannot be relied upon or expected from players.   • Loading tips: Loading screens are a great place for tips and hints that are not critical to player's progression. Button shortcuts, advanced or obscure mechanics, equipment highlights, and repetition of important information are all valid choices.
