Game designers and QA

The relationship between a game designer and QA is very important. Game documentation might (and will) be used by QA as a reference for writing and running their test plans. Some specific documentation might be needed for testing specific features.

The more custom documentation the designers are able to provide to QA, the easier and more effective the QA work will be. For example, whenever I design a new batch of cards for Battlehand, I create an ad hoc document for the QA where I include every card's render with a description of what the card effects are and what numbers are expected to appear on it.
