11 MIGRATION DESIGN AND EXECUTION
PDMv2 migration design and execution is made up of the following sub-modules:
- migration end-to-end design (E2E design);
- extract, transform and load (ETL design);
- detailed decommissioning design;
- migration build, test and execute.
I will look at the role of each of these in turn, assessing the impact of technology options and the DMZ, and show how all the PDMv2 artefacts I have created so far are brought together to create an ideal zero-defect data migration.
