USE OF RECURSION

There will be recursion at this stage around the following steps:

  • Analysing Legacy Data Stores and update Key Business Area models. These two steps sit side by side and should always be performed in tandem.

  • Creating Data Quality Rules and enact Data Quality Rules. There will be at least two iteration cycles around these two steps. The first pass establishes the Data Quality Rules and tests them against the data, the second pass uses the output from the first to establish and enact data cleansing rules. But testing data quality of itself will often throw up additional problems, for which new rules will need to be written.

  • Testing Data Quality Rules will often uncover further Legacy Data Stores and these will lead to another Stage ...
