STEP 1.4: CREATE DATA QUALITY RULES

By the end of Stage 1 we need our Legacy Data Stores sufficiently consistent with the legacy Key Business Data Area models to allow the project to move forward to the second stage of data preparation. The Legacy Data Stores must be prepared to a known degree of divergence with the legacy Key Business Data Area models so that there are no nasty surprises later. There will therefore be two types of Data Quality Rule at this point. The first measures the degree of conformity to our expressed rules. The second takes steps to fix problems uncovered.
