Summary

Visualization is an efficient way of finding frequent patterns or a relationship in a dataset. In this chapter, we have been introduced to a number of basic graphs implemented with D3.js. We discussed the most popular visualization techniques for discrete and continuous data. We explored the relationship between variables and saw how variables work over time. Similarly, we realized how to integrate basic user interaction and simple animation.

Finally, we discussed the concepts of lifting data from social networks and gave you an overview of visualization analytics and its uses, which will be covered in the ensuing chapters.
