Contingency Tables Revisited

Before considering the inferential question, let's start with a review of contingency tables by making one for this example. We created several contingency tables in Chapter 5.

  1. Select Analyze → Fit Y by X. Choose IGNITE as Y and LRTYPE_TEXT as X.

The results window shows a mosaic plot, a contingency table, and test results. Let's look initially at the mosaic plot and contingency table, shown respectively in Figures 11.3 and 11.4. As you look at these two figures, remember that they both display the same information.
