Technology—from the Internet to the mass media—can broaden our perspective, increase our speed and capacity for learning, help us develop a broader and more diverse network of relationships, and expand our intellectual, emotional, and behavioral repertoire—all of which enable us to become more effective managers and responsible world citizens. These are just a few of the dilemmas of today's manager, whom we shall refer to as the postmodern manager.
