Summary

We are at the end of another chapter and we've covered quite a number of topics within R, including maximizing the reporting features of RStudio and R Markdown to fuse common Business Intelligence practices with R Code as well as integrating R with visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI. We started by connecting our data with a live connection to SQL Server using ODBC and generating our dataframe. We then delved into basic and advanced plot creation within R, which led us to time series graphing with forecasting and smoothing capabilities.

In the next chapter, we will bring a similar BI reporting methodology to Python with the Jupyter Notebook.
