Game Development: Animation

There are really two types of animations in any application—one that can be described during the development of the application and another that is dynamically defined at runtime. Depending on the type of game you are creating, you may find that all of your animations can be defined beforehand, or you may realize that the location of each game element must be calculated frame by frame.
