Communicating strategically

The good news is that Public Relations/communication seem to be really coming of age as a recognised strategic function in local government. Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) reports (thus far) have helped to highlight the need for good two-way internal communication as well as external communication. Increasingly our remit is widening to include public consultation and engagement, customer care and customer services, policy development, internet and intranet management.
