PowerBuilder and Java

Java has been around for a while now. The wave of Java euphoria has subsided, and the language and its supporting tools have grown into its role of being one more technology on the ever-widening technology landscape. That doesn't mean it has stopped growing, but it has now moved into a more stable growth pattern. PowerBuilder 9 increased its support for the Java technology with the addition of the JSP Web Targets and EJB client support. PBNI enables the EJB client support; in the future, you will see added support to deploy PowerBuilder components as EJBs into J2EE application servers.

I hope to see a new set of targets added to support various Java technologies such as servlets, or specific Java standards such as JavaMail ...
