Naming Service

The EAServer Naming Service lets you give a logical name to an object. The logical name can be associated with a package or a component. The logical name enables you to achieve location independence for your components. What does “location independence” mean? You can get a reference to a component even if you don't know the URL of the server where the component is located. This works with clusters, so you can deploy a component to various servers in a cluster and use the naming service to resolve references.
