Message Service

The Message Service is covered in detail in Chapter 12, “Multithreading Components.”
The Message Service enables you to publish (send) messages to a queue. The queue can be read by a client application or by another component. Clients can check their queue (pull) for new messages, or components can request notification (push) when a new message arrives in their queue.
Configuring the Service
To configure the Message Service, follow these steps:
1. | Select the Message Service folder. If the Message Service has not been configured, a response window pops up asking whether you want to configure the Message Service. Click Yes. |
2. | Select a server that the Message Service will be configured for. Click Next. |
