Component Deployment Steps
Deploying components to EAServer involves four steps:
1. | Deploying components from the PowerBuilder environment to a development server |
2. | Distributing the components to the development group |
3. | Moving the components from the development server to a quality assurance (Q/A) group for testing |
4. | Moving the tested components from Q/A to a production server |
In Figure 15.2, you can see the deployment and promotion of a component in a project environment. In this diagram, you can see that developer 2 deployed Component C to his own local EAServer. This component then is pushed out to others in the development group. This covers Steps 1 and 2.
